What we heard
Sona is a friendly, social dog adjusting to busy city life, where other dogs can bring barking and overexcitement. You want your family to build consistent skills so walks feel easier and your daughter can eventually walk Sona safely and confidently.
Our Strategy
We’ll build stronger handler focus, consistent family routines, and practical skills for high-arousal moments, then use gradual exposure and reinforcement to help Sona stay more settled around dogs at home and in busy city environments.

Blaire
Blaire found ear treatments deeply unpleasant and became frightened when her harness appeared. We helped her mom learn to read when Blaire was open to food, play, affection, and movement, then bring those things into harder moments. Over time, Blaire became more willing to participate. With additional support from trusted model dogs, even going outside began to feel different. Recently, Blaire wagged her tail on a walk.

Charlie
After several major life changes, Charlie struggled to leave his bed, cross the apartment, or venture outside. We slowed everything down, helping him build more comfortable associations with each small threshold. Soon, potty trips became easier. Then we practiced around another challenge: the car. Today, Charlie can take treats during rides and travel to places he enjoys, including parks, beaches, and favorite neighborhood spots.

Cora
At more than 80 pounds, Cora’s lunging, pulling, and high-pitched barking made encounters with other dogs difficult for her parents to navigate. We taught them to recognize her escalation patterns, help her regulate, and practice around dogs at manageable distances. We also collaborated with a veterinary behaviorist for additional support. Today, her parents understand Cora more deeply and have reliable tools for helping her through big feelings.

Crispy
As a young Samoyed, Crispy approached life at full volume: pulling, jumping, barking, humping, grabbing things from the ground, and becoming wildly excited around dogs. We helped him develop greater focus and impulse control, then gave him thoughtful opportunities to practice around other dogs. Crispy remains a spirited adolescent, but walks feel different now. He checks in more, responds more readily, and navigates other dogs with greater skill.

Frank
Frank’s reactions to dogs and unfamiliar people left his mom worried about what might happen next. We began by teaching his family to read him, then practiced focus, de-escalation, parallel walks, hikes, and carefully supported interactions. As Frank became more comfortable, trust grew on both ends of the leash. At graduation, his mom watched him play off-leash with other dogs and happily return to her. There were tears. The good kind.

Ginger
Ginger’s barking and shrieking looked like endless excitement. Closer observation revealed a nervous dog repeatedly asking, “Is this okay?” We taught her parents to recognize those early check-ins and respond before her feelings escalated. Together, they practiced around visitors, dogs, public places, and car rides. Today, Ginger’s family can help her navigate those moments earlier, and their shared world has expanded to coffee shops, dinners, drinks, and parties.

Haru
Haru barked, growled, and lunged whenever another dog appeared. His family initially saw aggression. Reading his ears, eyes, tail, posture, and the larger context revealed something different: Haru was scared. We helped his parents recognize when nervousness was building and support him before it became overwhelming. With thoughtful practice, Haru’s world expanded. He began joining us for outdoor dining, shopping, and even walks through dog-filled parks.

Mona
Mona’s nervousness around unfamiliar people made busy sidewalks, parks, shopping districts, and outdoor dining difficult. We taught Mona and her mom to read one another, check in, respond earlier, and practice around people and dogs at manageable levels. Week by week, their communication grew stronger. A restaurant overwhelmed Mona during our first session. By graduation, she was confidently navigating the crowds, movement, and commotion of Pier 39.

Olive
Paul has made all the difference! We contacted him to help with Olive’s anxiety and get rid of some bad habits. Paul trained us to understand what she needs to be a happy and relaxed dog. We learned real ways to change behavior, engage and calm her. It feels amazing to understand what to do and what not to do in a way that helps Olive and allows her to reset. Paul is patient and hugely knowledgable. We have had three other dog trainers and Paul taught us more than the three of them combined. Highly recommend!

Shoko
When we met Shoko, hallway noises, visitors, strangers, dogs, and simply leaving home could trigger intense reactions. We moved at his pace, building trust through many small moments before expanding his world. Eventually, Shoko began meeting model dogs, visiting public places, and navigating experiences that once overwhelmed him. Today, guests can visit, dog parks are possible, and Shoko can join his people in places that once felt far beyond reach.

Sierra
San Francisco was overwhelming for Sierra after life as a stray in California’s Central Valley. People, dogs, visitors, and city life brought big feelings. Through steady practice, her parents learned how to support her while Sierra gained confidence navigating her new world. Today, she enjoys restaurants, road trips, hotels, and off-leash time at her neighborhood park. She even helps other PupPossible dogs as a calm, trusted model dog.

Streak
Streak’s neighborhood walks could stop almost before they started, and off-leash freedom felt out of reach. We began listening more closely to the nervousness underneath his hesitation, then brought greater play, food, affection, and connection into the experiences that challenged him. As Streak and his parents learned to communicate more clearly, walks began moving again. Today, he explores confidently, enjoys off-leash adventures, and has a much bigger world to discover.
